We are not sure at the moment whether we have Ewarts name correct as we have evidence of a birth certificate showing Ewart Arthur Reginald and newspaper cutting giving the name as Reginald Charles Ewart. We know for sure that the information is about the brother they knew as Ewart. The matter is being investigated!

Ewart was not mentioned on the Army document of his father.

He served in the Royal Engineers, possibly something to do with search lights and electrics. He probably met Clarice while in the army, possibly in or near Watchet. When he came out of the army they went to live in Watchett, Somerset setting up home in Jubilee Terrace. The name of the street was later changed to West Street. Ewart became a long distance lorry driver.

Whilst on holiday in Folkestone visiting his brother Jack(John), he got in touch with East Kent Coaches and was taken on as a long distance coach driver. Clarice joined him around 1941. They rented a house in Watkin Road and were later given a council house in Roman Way, Folkestone.
